peter answers

Peter Answers. A site that answers whatever question you ask it. We played it at Axell's Birthday party today, and it got pretty creepy. And the whole time I knew it was fake, but I couldn't help but scream when surprisingly real answers were popping up. Simply type: "Peter, please answer:" and it would answer your question...if you knew how to do it. It was one of those games that astonished you like Black Magic. It only worked for Erik (because he knew how to do it). Everyone got creeped out and we did that for hours :]

I have to start on my homework soon. Maybe
tomorrow, maybe not. Today, I just watched Avatar in 3D. It was really good, but the first show we went to was canceled due to technical difficulties. So, we got free tickets to go see another show some other day, and then we had to wait until the next showing. Let me just say, my family is annoying. So annoying that I didn't even sit directly next to them in the theater (I sat a few seats away). Sighhhhh, oh well...

officially a gleek

Slightly ashamed, but I am officially a gleek. I can't get the songs out of my head. Glee is strangely addicting and surprisingly catchy :)

a spontaneous decision

Wow Wilson, you switched to tumblr! Tsk tsk. Whatever happened to "I think blogger is easier to use," and "Tumblr's confusing." Well, I'll stay on blogspot for a little while longer :)

Haven't blogged in a looong time...Oh well. More to talk about?

I'm in Lake Tahoe right now. And I just found out we were coming here yesterday when my mom told me got bonus time at our timeshare place. I kind of have my own room! My sister, Katie, is staying with her friend Melissa for 2 days because she doesn't want to miss her other friend's birthday party. And my other sister, Jenna, is probably going to hang out with her friend that is staying at this timeshare (Edgelake) as well. As for my brother, he's a boy...so we can just take turns sleeping on the couch (or I can just have this room to myself for 2 nights!)

Tomorrow I'm going skiing, yay! I miss the snow, but at least I get to see it at least once every year. And I get to go skiing at least once every year too. That's probably one of my favorite parts about Lake Tahoe. I really hope it snows while we're here. Sometimes, if it snows a lot, I make an igloo, and usually it turns out pretty cool. You can actually go inside of it and sit in there. Takes a long time to make, but afterwards, it's totally worth it :P Good thing I'm only staying here for 2 days because otherwise I wouldn't get to see you! Have to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday when I get back though :[

Happy that it's break, but I have a feeling that it's going to go by super fast.

gobble gobble

Thanksgiving tomorrow? I guess so. My mom came home with a ton of groceries; it looks like we're going to be eating a lot. Not sure if I have to stay home the whole day tomorrow or not, hopefully not, the kitchen can get hectic. I wonder how many other families actually sit down around the table and eat dinner together, besides on Thanksgiving.

The Union came out today! It's so cool seeing all of the work that you put into the paper and then actually seeing it come out on paper. I need more story ideas... got any?

This weekend seems a little busier than usual.
Thursday - Thanksgiving
Friday - Black Friday, but I'm not celebrating that haha. I need to go get the American Apparel Jackets from someone's house! They came in FINALLY!! :D
Saturday - Dee's Party or Smash City in the morning? Jack Emery Flyer Distribution for Key Club @ 1 PM - 4 PM. (Anyone can come, just meet at MHS' basketball courts)
Sunday - Milpitas Tree Lighting Ceremony Set up from 10 AM - 5 PM. After 5 PM, cram for my Chem. test D:
Monday - Chem. test, Milpitas Tree Lighting Ceremony from 5: 30 PM - 9:45 PM, and find out what's in the mysterious box, lol.

because you said so

Let's start with Friday.

After school, I went to Albert's house with Allyson and made cookies. THOSE COOKIES TURNED OUT HORRIBLE! It was pretty funny watching them turn out so bad. I swear that I have never made cookies as bad as those in my entire life. I don't know exactly what it was, but for some reason, they were really bad. Oh well, it provided us with some laughs.

On Saturday, it was time to get up and go to the high school for the Folsom Marching Band Competition. We practiced and then hung out at school for awhile playing Kokology, a bunch of quizzes that analyze yourself. Some of the quizzes were right, and some of them were way off. After this, we loaded the buses and headed to Folsom. The bus ride didn't seem that long. We were watching 17 again, and Perry totally got really into the movie. Albert dreaded it because it had Zac Efron in it, the star in High School Musical. "We're all in this together," right Albert? XD Anyways, the movie made the ride seem to go a lot faster. We watched Ratatouille after that...which reminds me.. I want to download that song from the movie. Send it to me :) We were pretty rushed when we got of the bus, and a few people weren't even at the competition yet. Overall, our performance went well. We made it into finals (barely) and then performed again. We got 10/10 again...sigh. Eager to hear what the judges said. On the way back, I was pretty tired and tried to sleep the whole way.

This morning, I woke up with a sore back, probably of Sarah hitting me (her way of massaging). I woke up at 10 and ate breakfast/ brunch and then headed over to Sarah's house around 2ish to play basketball. I think I'm pretty bad at basketball and it's not the greatest sport in the world, but I think it was fun. We tried shooting from half court and although no one made it in, I got kind of close and I made two 3 pointers (one of them my first try!) Once I get going on something, it seems like I can't stop. I played the whole time, even when Sarah and Anh took breaks.

We went to Tee's house and played with her adorable puppies. They were really cute and soft, but they peed everywhere. Sarah stepped in poop too... She cleaned her shoes and then biked back to her house. Her brother drove us to get milk tea and we saw Sarah and Anh's friend, Steven working at Sheng Kee bakery. Talked with him for a few minutes, arguing which kind of cake was better (mango mousse vs. German chocolate). I voted for the mango mousse, that cake is gooood :D

you don't really know me

I can't seem to let it out. All of the things that I've had on my mind lately, I don't tell them. But now they're digging into me, and lately, I've been thinking of things all of the time. Should I tell this? Even my blog isn't safe. I don't publish these kinds of things here. I keep them in my head.

Yes, I'm so cheerful everyday you see me. I smile at you politely, and I laugh at your jokes. I listen to you; I talk to you. No one knows the problems that I have. And I cannot tell anyone. I don't think it's trust issues, but then again, I wouldn't know. I fully trust only a few people (not even my own mother). I just can't find myself to tell anyone anything. I guess it's because if I don't tell anyone, then they won't tell anyone either. I don't want people to know my weak spots. All of the pressure that I feel that's on me, from parents and from friends. It's dragging me down, but somehow I always manage to overcome it.

But now it's building up inside of me with almost no possibility for escape. I want to scream for help, but who should I turn to? No one will understand.

When you see me tomorrow, I'll look happy for you, like I do everyday. You will never know this side of me because you have never seen it. I don't always seem to know the reason, but for now.. I will smile for you tomorrow.

blogging is good for the soul

I haven't blogged in awhile which is good and bad. I think writing stuff down lets you get things off your chest and helps your mind relax a little bit. Since I haven't blogged in a long time, I have all of these thoughts floating around in my head. And my dreams haven't been helping much lately either.

One of my dreams was that there was a grocery store that had EVERYTHING inside of it. And if it was missing something, all you had to do was wish for that item, and it would appear. But all of a sudden, the store started expanding and shrinking. Everything was malfunctioning and that Utopia of a supermarket was beginning to collapse. A little girl was at risk of getting hurt, while her brother waited outside for her. All I did was bring the boy out to his mother. I have no idea what happened to the little girl...

Another one of my dreams started off with the world about to end. We had about fifteen minutes until we thought it would end. After fifteen minutes, we were still all alive, but we were living in a deserted city. Those have been just some of the weird dreams I've been having. Maybe these dreams resulted from a lack of sleep, but I hope they don't mean that I'm destined to live in a world that's collapsing right from under me.

On a happier note: I wish Halloween would come already! Our costumes are awesome :)

it is called improvisation

Yesterday, I decided to bake some cookies because for one, I did not feel like doing homework, and two, because my internet had some technical difficulties. As I went to bake them, I realized that I didn't have enough butter, so I decided to improvise. I didn't measure anything out, and the cookies turned out better than they have before. The result was kind of bittersweet: The cookies were tasty, but I didn't write the recipe down.

I meant to bring some to school today, but I totally forgot because I was kind of rushed this morning. Sorry Albert! Tacky Tourist day was today and socks and sandals are not the best combination in the midst of the wettest day since 1962. (Fun fact provided by Mr. Colburn!) Anyways, since I dressed up for Tacky Tourist day, Di-an made me go be part of the noontime in the theater. It was slightly awkward, especially when Valentina came up with her shirt w/ a bikini painted onto it, like the one from How I Met Your Mother. So, I participated in this noontime which was some fashion show, so I could be entered into a raffle to win something from the student store. I wish it was a warmer day for Tacky Tourist day, but sadly it was pouring down rain. What I've learned from this day: Tourists dress for convenience and not necessarily for style. Fanny packs are actually pretty convenient :)

After school there were some pretty fail moments displayed by Albert and Allyson. It's not always all me!

Me: There's a raindrop on your glasses.
Albert: (Tries to blow it off).
Me: That's not gonna work.
Albert: (Takes off glasses and tries to wipe it off). It doesn't work! Oh wait...it's on the inside of my glasses... D:

Allyson: (Walks outside and then comes back around) Where did Maggie go?
Albert: She went outside and followed you.
Allyson: Goes back outside looking for me XD Comes back inside saying that she's gonna kill me o.o

i prefer high fives

First thing first. We got new teams for volleyball! And I am so glad. Although, today some person on my new team totally pushed me aside to get the ball which caused my glasses to fall off. He shoved into my head and at first it kind of hurt a little, but I think it hurt him more than it hurt me. Our team is pretty funny also. When the ball came over, one guy hit it right into someone's face and both teams fell on the ground laughing. It was hilarious, but you had to be there.

Second thing second. Yesterday after tutoring, I went to El Torito's for this Kiwanis dinner. I met a whole bunch of Kiwanians and ate some Mexican food for free :) It was actually pretty fun, but awkward at times. The man sitting in front of me went to Cal Poly and majored in architecture or something. A bunch of them were talking about what a blog was. LOL. Rhodan and I had to explain it, telling them what you write about, what websites it's on etc. It was really funny because afterwards Dorothy, Greg, Rhodan, and I went to Blush to get some dessert. Dorothy and Greg, who were sitting at the other table in El Toritos, told us how Ms. Weiss got a little buzzed. They said she spilled her drink and was really happy and everything. When I told her goodbye, she did seem rather cheerful. Oh btw Albert and Sarah, I got Chocolate frozen yogurt. There's limited flavors there. That's why I like Orangetree better :D

Today: We had some major issues during band practice. We pretty much suck and I don't know if we can get much better. We need to work on focusing, working harder, listening, marching better etc. All of that stuff if we don't wanna be super embarrassed at Cupertino or at other future competitions. Almost forgot, I need bus buddies! Right now, I only have two bus buddies...Allyson for Indie and Sarah for Folsom. Anyone interested in being my bus buddy?? I will be very lonely, but maybe not as lonely as Sarah who didn't have very many bus buddies last year XD.

Special thanks to Sarah for not making that much fun of me today and giving me some high fives! I got like...6 high fives today! Special NO THANKS to Albert Chang, Wilson Yu, and Perry Pham who, like always, make fun of me for everything and don't give me real high fives. (only the occasional pity high five D:)

i wish, i wish at 11:11

By the way...no, I didn't wish for you! XD

11:11. A time when you are supposed to wish. A few days ago, Wilson Cheah told me that he missed 11:11 by one minute. I was curious to what the deal with wishing at this time was, so I decided to do some research. The research was pretty minimal because it was already past 11 and I was getting pretty sleepy. Here are the rules:

1) You have to look at a clock and it has to already be 11:11. You cannot look at the clock at 11:08 and wait until 11:11 to make a wish. In other words, the wish has to be spontaneous and unexpected.
2) You cannot look back at the clock until 11:11 has past. If you look back, your wish is blown.

So, I'm going to try and start looking at the clock more often. Although, I'm never really completely awake at 11:11 PM.

Mondays are always, always, always tiring. Our volleyball team lost. I don't really know the exact score. I really wish that I could've picked more of my team... I picked 2 people in total and this other guy wanted to be on my team for some reason. When he came, I was like....uhh why me?? And, he isn't very good. (No offense) I know that I may seem...nice and cheerful on the outside. I say, "Okay. Try to get it over next time," or something like that. Inside, I'm thinking, "Wow. Omg, why are you on my team..." Only to maybe two of the players on my team. It may not seem like it, but I am pretty competitive. I like to win and hate to lose. Winning isn't everything, but it feels awesome when you do win

I don't know my top picks for positions for Journalism! Some people said sports editor, but I like news. Maybe Ad manager? Or entertainment, or features??? So many choices.

a trip down memory lane

Today after school I went to the C4 meeting with Tim and Albert. There were a lot of new people and some veterans to C4 as well. 34 members is a lot. Yes, I want to do C4 because it's pretty fun, but at the same time, I'm not sure if I will do it due to the time it takes :[

After the meeting, Anh Thai, Sarah Liaw, and I went to Sarah's house and just kind of relaxed for a bit. Basically we went upstairs and started looking at yearbooks. She had one from Curtner and two from Russell. Everyone looked soo cute back then. And some people, I don't even recognize. Then, we went into Sarah's room and went on the computer. Sarah's obsessed with Wicked. I really really want to watch Wicked! Sarah and I were planning a trip to see Wicked, but I'm not certain that this trip will actually become a reality. Hopefully though! We did a few other things at Sarah's. Looked at Wicked 3 drill, looked at Wicked videos on Youtube, listened to Wicked songs... It was pretty fun actually.

At about 7ish we went over to the carnival at St. John's. I kind of expected more to the carnvial. There were a few rides and some games. There was also different kinds of food and a pony ride. We decided not to go on any rides. I was kind of glad because that night I totally got addicted to chocolate raisins (and I don't like raisins!) We watched Swan's band play a few songs and then Sarah's mom came to come pick us up. We went to That's Yogurt and then back to Sarah's.

Sarah told me some "secrets" about her life. Don't worry Sarah, I won't reveal them hers! I told her like one of mine, but it wasn't really anything. I find that I don't tell people things. I keep all secrets to myself because it's easier that way. Sometimes it's good to tell someone because then you know that you don't have to hide it anymore to only yourself. But at the same time, I won't tell you any big secrets Sarah! :P

pointless post

Upon Albert's request, here you go. This post was supposed to be short, but I guess I couldn't stop typing...

Monday was a pretty unorganized, chaotic, counterproductive day. Most people, dreading practice because of the intense heat, went outside and formed a block to go and march down to the field. Little did we know that a few of those people forgot their drill, music, stuff like that.

We basically worked on the same two sets for about an hour. Yes, everyone was getting tired of it. And then finally, Mr. Kaldy just gave up. He literally gave up. At first, I thought to myself, "What the? Is her serious?" I wouldn't blame him because practice went terrible. We actually got worse. I was kind of excited to actually finish up the 2nd song and get going because I knew that we were already behind. Now, we are soo behind. He quit practice early and threw all of his stuff down. A lot of people were just kind of standing there, not knowing what to do next. We were all pretty surprised. I think that most of us were wondering if he was really serious about actually going home.

Instead of going home, we stayed and practiced our drill without Mr. Kaldy. Erin conducted the 2nd song and we actually did get somewhere with the drill. I really hope that tomorrow goes better. We definitely need to work on being more responsible and getting our act together. Every single one of us. So in the end, the practice was pretty much pointless.

Today, was pretty much a regular Tues./ Thurs. day. I went to school, went to tutor at Russell, and then I went to Rancho to wait for my brother and sister to get done with cross country. After they came, we went to Save Mart and got some TV dinners :P My dad was at some meeting thing and whenever he's gone, my mom never cooks. She always tells us to make a TV dinner. Whatever, I've gotten used to it.

goodbye. i'll miss you.

So yesterday was Tina Nguyen's birthday party. After school, I went to Target to buy her a present. I got her some earphones b/c Julia says she goes through them really fast. After that I got to drive over to the Kang Nam Tofu House place and I was a little bit late...as usual. The food was good. I thought I wasn't going to like tofu, but it was yummy. Everyone is always surprised that I can use chopsticks. Yes, I am whitewashed, but I am still a tiny bit Asian. Even if I don't use chopsticks the "proper way," I can use them to eat if I have to or if I want to.

After we all ate, we just hung out in front of Frozo's. I think that we were pretty loud. Some of the people inside kept looking at us. Like when 5 people tried to spell "penis" in the parking lot. Then, they took my Fruits Basket book and stuffed in down Alan Hsu's pants. I blame you, Darren Toy! Everyone picks on me. Everyone :[. I guess it's ok; I've gotten pretty used to it...

I decided not to go to the sleepover because I think my parents might get mad if I go out all of the time. And I wanted to go somewhere the next day so I wanted some rest. Good thing too because I heard that they stayed up until 4. Instead of sleeping over at Tina's, I went to Tapioca Express w/ Wilson, Albert, Tim, Alan, Darren, Perry, Alex, and we met up with Angela. I few minutes later, Wilson reminded me that I forgot my book at Frozos! Luckily, Tim brought it. Ughhh, Tim is so weird sometimes! But at least he brought me my book :P I stayed there for awhile, but since I probably lived the farthest and I didn't have a car, I went home. Last day for Wilson...how sad! Truthfully, I'm gonna miss you! And everyone else who leaves for college...except for one person. I think some of you know who I won't miss ;D

Today, I woke up a little late. At like 10 and I was wondering what I was gonna do for the rest of the day. I decided to bake some cookies around 12, but then I got a phone call saying that Diana Tran, Anh Thai, April Martinez, Tram, and Christina Chi were going to go to this Fall Festival in Cupertino to meet with some DECA members. I put the cookie dough in the fridge and have yet to make it. Maybe tomorrow... No one was home because my mom, brother, and sister decided to go to San Francisco and my dad was at my other sister's volleyball tournament. Since I was home alone, they picked me up :D

The festival was fun because we got a lot of free stuff. Including a free stuffed animal. I got a moose b/c my grandma's favorite animal was a moose. We met some DECA club officers from Monta Vista and Cupertino and they are soo friendly and hyper. I was kinda tired though. After the festival, we went to Yogurtland. I only got a little bit, worth 1.98. Then we went to this other store called Daiso or something like that. It was this Asian store with a bunch of cute little things. I was pretty happy because Anh got me a lunchbox for my birthday! (which is all the way in November) But still, it was pretty cute :P I bought this other thing and then we left.

After I got home, I immediately went to MHS for open gym. I was late by about an 1 1/2 and right when I walked in the door, Sarah thew a birdie at me -____-. Sarah and I have a secret language...well, we're trying to learn piglatten. I tried to teach it to her, but she's going to make up our own language. After Sarah left, I was playing against Albert. Poor Albert, his right arm is all hurt! It was funny because he always set it up, so I could smash really easily. It landed right between his legs every time.

Monday is the first Key Club meeting! I'm excited, but at the same time, I'm also a little bit nervous. Not because I'm afraid to talk in front of people, but because I want Key Club to be really successful. Let's hope for the best :D

stolen shoes

Getting up early for zero period has become more natural for me. Yes, I do get tired. On the upside, at least I'm awake. Volleyball with Ms. Osborne has been interesting. I would switch to softball, but I like volleyball too. Besides, I know I've gotten a little worse in volleyball, but I think that I've gotten a lot worse in softball.

We went to Junior Orientation during 2nd period. It was so funny because these too girls in the back were shouting out things like, "Hey girl, hey!"; "Hey boy, whatchu doing?"; "Oh hey whatsup girlfriend?" Another funny moment:

"And you know the most important thing this year is JUNIOR PROM!!," some Junior class officer.
"PSHHH, no. It's all about the SAT!," this guy named Edward sitting behind us.

Besides from that, orientation was boring as usual. Btw, the sophomore class is pathetic. The officers tried pumping up their class and no one cheered. Wow, P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C.

Let me just say, wow. I know it says that's my favorite word, so I use it a lot. Today, after band rehearsal, Wilson, Darren, Monika, Albert, Steven, and probably some other people were sitting at the table outside of the band room. I had my converse shoes out on the table. Wilson steals my shoes and starts tying it onto the table. I get one shoe back and then the other shoe gets stolen. Why am I such an easy target? I had to literally run after Wilson (who was on his longboard) and grab it from him. After they left, I came back and my other shoe was gone. Albert and Wilson Yu said that they saw Darren take it. So, I called Darren: no answer. Then Wilson Cheah texted me: "Are you sure you're not missing anything?" I thought they took it. Albert said that it was by the vending machines. Wilson Yu said it was on top of the vending machines. I called Wilson Cheah who told me to look in the trees. I came back and finally one shoe was on the table. I turned around and then the other one was there. Wow, is all I have to say. Luckily for you, I did not hurt Albert Jr. But you know, I would never do that on purpose. It's just fun to scare or threaten (like in How I Met Your Mother when Marshall had those slaps for Barney).

hiding in the bleachers

First football game was yesterday and it went pretty good. I was kinda late by maybe..5 minutes so I ran into the theater while everyone was already set up.

We marched into the bleachers and played our pep band music. I shared a stand w/ Vanessa, yay! It was really cold, but I didn't want to put on my jacket yet because I was afraid that my shirt was going to get super linty. So, I suffered for a while. When we went out on the field I was shivering from the coldness. The show went pretty good and things didn't fall apart :D

Afterwards we played more pep band music. Wilson and Darren totally snuck up on me and started blowing on my face while I was playing. I turned around and saw Darren, but I didn't notice Wilson until I felt him blow on my face again -___-. Scared me! They stayed curled up in a ball like little cats under the bleachers. Kaldy couldn't find out they were there otherwise they would have to leave. Oh and btw, Wilson is a litterbug!

Pep band was over and we went back into the extremely hot band room. Then after I got out and I was waiting for my dad to arrive, Albert and Alan started bumping and humping and "uncing" me. Saying, "UNCE, UNCE, UNCE." Wow. And I was sooo NOT jumping with them >:O.

Today, I baked a lot of cookies and now I'm going over to the park for this bday party thing to eat them :D

are you ready?

Are you ready for volleyball in zero period tomorrow? Excited because we finally get to do something in PE. I hope I don't suck too badly. I haven't played in years.

Are you ready to hear about my day? Probably not because it wasn't that exciting. This morning I completely forgot to do my chem hw so I had to do it in math class. Then, I found out there was a backside -____-. I couldn't really focus in chem b/c of that assignment. I'm seriously scared for chem though. We have a test either next week or next next week. GAH. After chem was journalism. I'm excited to write for the UNION! (and the onion) I hope I do well because right now, my writing is just..average.

Finally after school we had sectionals where we learned our horn manuals that we stole from the altos. It's ok, but I like it better when the Altos do it. I like their little chant that they made up. "My pimps and hos!" "Altos you know" "Wherever we go" "Altos you know!" Makes me laugh every single time. I wish flutes had some chant. Need to think of one for this year or next :P After this, we had a little drilldown. I don't really like drill downs, just because they put you under so much pressure. I guess I do well when I'm under pressure, but if I'm not focused then I definitely lose. Surprisingly, today I won. Allyson would have won if we didn't fall back in because we supposedly flinched.

This afternoon was soo hot. We repeated the drill over and over again and each second you're standing there, it seems like it gets hotter. The worst part about it was that I didn't drink any water. I finished all of mine at lunch so I didn't get any during practice. My mouth was all dry and it was hard to play the flute. I guess I have good marching technique (or so Kaldy says). He pointed me out in front of the entire band. What do you do in that situation? I didn't want to look behind me because...uhh...well all I did was put on a half smile/ half confused face.

After practice was over, immediately I went to get some water. That reminds me Allyson, I owe you a dollar.

following the heat

Tell me why we go on a hike on the hottest day of the summer. It was in the hundreds yesterday and my mom decided that we would all wake up at 6:45 AM, get ready and go for a hike somewhere in Saratoga. I wanted to sleep in because I didn't get home until 11 last night because Si-Yao invited me to her church. So, all I wanted was a day to relax and regain sleep from getting up early in zero period. Sadly, we still went on the hike.

It was like we were the only people there. I questioned if it was even a real path. There was a lot of poison oak and bugs too. I took my camera and took a few pictures. I really want to get it developed to see how the pics. turn out. They're from a bunch of random places (mission peak, hiking, other places XD). After the hike, we took a picture. Most people think that I'm an obedient girl that listens to whatever her parents or teachers tell her to do. Most people don't know that I don't do that all of the time. When they took the picture, I wouldn't smile. I wouldn't smile because it was not fun and I hate being forced to smile when something isn't fun. So in the picture, I put on this fake smile that looked like something was wrong with my mouth, LOL.

After the hike, I fell asleep in the car. When I got home, I crashed in my bed, but I didn't fall asleep. I was going to until Wilson texted me saying that he had a dream that I hated him. He said that all of his dreams come true, haha. It would be funny to see if actually did.

I went out to the den and watched a movie instead. Not my choice, but my sister's choice. We watched Thomas the train engine or something. How lame.

After this, we went to watch the San Jose Giants game. Yeah, the San Jose Giants (not S. F.). They won 10-3. There was this creepy guy behind us that looked homeless and kept shouting random things. His hair was all nasty and he kept saying "BOOOO." I was tempted to take a picture and put him up here, but I was scared he was going to see. Another weird thing at the game was the people who sang the Star Spangled Banner and God Bless America. That was horrid. They changed the song and they were off pitch and at times, it didn't sound like the song. The guy who sang God Bless America held this really long note and then afterwards there was complete silence in the stadium. My brother and I looked at each other and just laughed. It was as if he was waiting for applause which never came.

ready for a change

School starts tomorrow and it seemed like my summer has gone by so quickly. Was it my best summer? No, but at least I got a lot of summer classes done so now I have my perfect schedule.

I remember when I first came to MHS. A little freshman. I joined the volleyball team and softball team and did orchestra. Received a 4.0. Looking back on that, it seemed like I had no life. I mean, I was involved in extracurricular activities, but it seemed like I never really got to relax and go out. Sophomore year was a little different. I guess I realized that I wanted to do more than study. I chose super hard classes though and I think I slacked off a little too much. Which is one reason why I got a C in Algebra II/ Trig and 2 B's, one in Honors Chemistry and the other in A.P. World.

This year I am ready for a change. I know what I have to do. Freshmen year I was too uptight, Sophomore year I was too relaxed. I am soo determined this year and now I actually have a feeling that I can have fun and get good grades at the same time. 4.0 this year? I wish. I have A.P. Chem so I'm nervous about that. I'm just going to push from the very beginning and see where that takes me.

This year is super exciting for me though. I made it into Journalism, surprising and now I am co-President w/ Ric Chi of the Key Club. It may seem like I have a lot to handle because I am in marching band and tutoring for 6 weeks and then badminton, but I love to push myself and try my best. Sometimes, I may act lazy, but this year I really am going to try. It's for the best.

black and white

Major tan lines from band camp. Major. At first I didn't think they were that bad, but I guess everyone said they were pretty bad. The difference was "black and white."

Starting this morning, the whole band got to cut in front of line for registration. Sucks for everyone waiting in line who had to leave and get out of line to let us cut. I was determined to get an okay looking picture this year, but as usual, it sucked. They zoomed in on my head and then they cut off part of my hair. Seriously, I hate it. I was so tempted to ask them if I could take it again. After the horrible ID pictures we got in line to look at our schedules. I'm so excited. I got all of the classes I wanted. Except, I forgot to tell Ms. Harke that I wanted to take Spanish. I knew I was missing something. I took Photography instead of Spanish, but I'll change that later.

We marched the rest of the day outside. I didn't get tan because I was wearing a shirt instead of a tank top and I made sure I applied sunscreen so I wouldn't get burned like on Friday.

I got home and yes, no US history tonight. Instead, I finished reading The Joy Luck Club a few days ago and now I'm just writing some notes in my book. I don't want to do the project, but I know that I will anyways. The book was really good. It was sad at a lot of times, but it was the good kind of sad. The sadness that touched you and got you connected with all of the characters and stories happening in the book. I wouldn't really know what being in an Asian family would feel like. Even my dad says I'm white :P

band camp - day 3

Stayed outside for the whole morning today! And got some tan lines...I guess they're not THAT bad yet. You can see them though, but that's just apart of band camp. By the time we were out for a while, my water was already burning hot. Tonight I have to put some water in the freezer.

After we worked on our marching we did a trust exercise where everyone had to sit on one another. The first time it worked pretty well except someone broke the circle.. The second time it failed. There was this one big guy and he was supposed to sit on this tiny little freshman girl, but he didn't. So the circle broke and I fell out...

Finally it was lunch time. I was going to ride my bike to Nob Hill because Allyson borrowed Keith's scooter and Kirsten brought hers. When I took my bike out from the theater, I noticed this squeaky noise. My back tire was completely flat. The inner tube broke from the tire. UGHHH. So I walked to Nob Hill instead and bought some grapes. YUM :D

We went back and played music and watched Kaldy beat Albert at arm wrestling. I want to see the drill for the show! This blog entry is really short, but that's ok. At least I still wrote something!

cluck like a chicken

Here I am, I guess you could call it camping. Except that I'm camping in an RV and there's internet here.

Yesterday we all went to the Sonoma County Fair like we do every year. I guess it's becoming a tradition. It's basically this big fair with rides, food, and animals like cows, pigs, chickens etc. They have contests to see which animals are the best. It's very..country like. My mom went when she was a child and now she brings us to carry on the tradition. It's not that bad except that we have to go and see everything.

When you first go into the fair, there's this expo with a bunch of people trying to sell you things. That's where we got all of our useless gadgets that lay around the house. I mean, who needs a sushi maker, a shamwow, and this other thing called "Magic Purple." All of it was a waste of money.

After we get through the people who try and sell you things, we go around the fair and look at all of the animals. We started with the cows, which were huge. I kept thinking that one of them was going to kick me or something. We were so close to the cows that you could pet them and the stables were open and everything. Some of them looked so fat and lazy. They would just lay their eating their hay.

Next were the pigs. I saw some of the piglets and they were so cute! Makes me want a pig, but as soon as I saw the full grown pigs, I changed my mind. The pigs were big and lazy like the cows. What I found saddening was the fact that the owners would hit the pigs to make them do what they wanted. They had these big sticks and they would hit the sides of the pigs. It looked sooo painful.

After the cows and pigs were the chickens. They were annoying. We used to have a rooster that we hatched out of an egg that our uncle gave us from his farm in Montana. (I know this sounds very strange). We named him Chicken Little and when he was grown, we took him back to Montana (in a cage attatched to the back of the RV) to live at my uncle's farm. Sadly, he died soon after. At first, my uncle told us the lie that he was eaten by a wolf trying to defend the other animals. We found out that he died because he stopped eating. Made me sad when I heard the news. He hatched on my birthday. We finally got done looking at all of the animals and got free ice cream :D

We drove up here, where I'm sitting now. And we're right next to the Russian River in some town called Gurensville or something. I really wish I was home though. Won't be back until Monday. Until then, I'll probably be making friendship braclets out of boredom.

scare those kids

People have been coming to my house more. Before, I used to be like, "Don't come over!" Well, kinda. I guess I'm more open to it now. I don't really care except for my stupid sister who tries to embarrass me purposely! >:O Anh Thai, Di-an, and Sarah came over after Physics and we just played Wii fit. This was on..like tuesday and thursday XD I had to make Di-an this friendship bracelet and I sware I wanted to keep it. It was colorful and it zig-zagged and it was adjustable! I had to give it to her though; she gave us a ride home.

I went to Tim Kim's birthday thing at Olive Garden on Friday. Tim finally got a phone. I bet he's going to be too lazy to activate it..The food at Olive Garden was good :D Everyone got pretty full except for Tomy and maybe Arnold. They just kept eating. They counted the calories afterward and it turns out that Tomy ate about 2500 calories. I split dessert with Allyson Wong and it was good. Some kind of berries and cream. When the bill came, it came out to like over 300 dollars. Junette, her boyfriend, and this girl named Young didn't bring any money. They thought Tim was going to pay... What I don't get is, they didn't bring any money, Tim told them that he wasn't paying for them, and yet they still ate and ordered a lot of food. Their bill alone between the 4 of them was like 133 or something. In the end, Michelle Cardenas had to pay for them. I felt so bad for her. I had no money left except a quarter, which I gave them.

Allyson slept over at my house. Well, more like our RV. We brought some movies in there: Kiki's Delivery Service and Anastasia and made some friendship bracelets and talked. We ate the rest of our dinner from Olive Garden too :P We fell asleep around 2ish, while watching Anastasia.

Saturday, the day of the pool party thing. I would say more like get-together; casual. Anyways, Allyson was starving so she made noodles for breakfast and then ate like 4 pieces of toast and this thing called an egg in a nest, which is basically just an egg fried in the middle of a piece of bread. We played some game called raving rabbids; I'm not sure what it is. And then we went back into the RV.

A few moments later Swan and Perry came out of nowhere.. They came in the RV and Perry told everyone how we was waiting outside for the past 20 minutes trying to call Allyson 7 times and then calling other people who would not answer to try and get my number. Finally, he saw Swan so he just came. A few moments later Arnold and Tomy came. I had no idea that they were going to come, let alone how they found my house. I was surprised because I didn't invite them on facebook and they didn't even tell me they wanted to come. They came just because Rochelle told them to and they didn't have enough money to go bowling. Rochelle, Jennifer Ruperto's sister, came to my house too. Another unexpected visitor. It's cool though, I didn't mind. She got left here while Jennifer and her mom went to go get a haircut. She was trying to figure out the bill from last night because she was getting charged like 60 over. We finally figured it out, I think. That took a while.

We ate pizza and then went swimming after Arnold and Tomy went to go bowling because someone was gonna pay for them. Swimming was pretty fun. Swan and Perry were facscinated by these torpedos that you throw in the water. Swan totally pushed me into the water too -_______-

Allyson had to go so I was there with Perry and Tim. We didn't really do much except talk about American Apparel jackets. Tim bought one! :D Another customer :P

Today was Kohl's Cares for Kids. I set my alarm for 5:20, but I didn't wake up until 5:30 or so. I was one minute late, Bettina Pancho pointed out. I tried to get there earlier, but my dad took a while to get up. Each volunteer got paired up with a different kid. I got a boy who was in 6th grade. He was pretty easy to shop with. Not picky or anything and he knew what he needed to get. I kind of wanted a cute, little kid because they are...well, cute and little XD THE SHOES WERE EXPENSIVE! They were like 42 bucks. I think he liked them a lot, but still it made us go over. So we couldn't get him this jacket, but he can go back and buy it later with the 20 kohl's bucks he got for spending 100 dollars. We finished pretty fast and then we just waited around until clean-up which only required a few people to help out. Sarah Liaw came out a while later. She didn't look happy. Her kid was kind of a pain. She said that she treated her like a slave. And from what I saw, that was true. The girl asked her to peel her orange and when sarah "punctured it" she made her peel her another one. I felt bad for her. A lot of people showed up which was awesome! :D I just asked everyone that I could find if they wanted to go and most of them said either yes or maybe. Albert and Darren showed up a little late but still in time. Albert looked scary. His hair was all spiked and it made him look evil..A lot of the people who I asked didn't really like little kids, but they still went :P Thanks to everyone who came! :D

After Kohl's, Anh, Bettina, Brian, and I went to Bettina's new house/condo/apartment place. It was nice! Her house quadrupled in size. Her room was cool too. It had a couch in it and everything. After her house, I made a pizza for lunch because we had an extra and then me, my dad and my brother and sisters went to best buy, borders, and jamba juice. I'm full now, but my mom just made macaroni and cheese...

russian teachers

I haven't blogged for a while!

So I went to Officer Training Conference today for Key Club which was in Half Moon Bay. It was pretty fun, I guess. The only thing that was boring was the workshops that you had to go to that basically talked about stuff that I already knew because I went to DCON, which is district
convention. There's soo many key club events. It's crazy. There's DCON, OTC, RTC, FRN, ICON, DCMs and the list goes on. At OTC we went to different workshops and they told us stuff that would help make our club better. Then we ate lunch and there was a sand sculpture contest. For our division (D12 East), we sculpted a seal and a turtle. It looked real. I wish I had my camera; I forgot it! We got our inspiration for building a seal because we saw a dead dolphin on the beach. All of a sudden, everyone started running towards it and crowding around it. Poor dolphing :(After everything was done, we went home. Btw, my dad drove me and 5 others (Anita, Cecilia, Greg, Caroline, Dorothy, Courtney and Meera). We took the RV o.o It was fun though, we played thirteen, BS and this one game called Roses. It's like Black Magic where you have to figure out the pattern. I hate those -____-, unless I figure them out :)

I got home and right now my legs feel kind of tired. Not really sore, but it just feels like I've been standing for too long, which I have been. It kind of feels like growing pains, maybe I'm growing!

This summer has been good because I got to see a lot of my friends during school, but boring because of the classes. I think I got a A- in Physics! She better curve it, other wise I have like a 89 or something. Anh and I were talking about our slightly weird, Russian teacher:

maggster979 (6:54:54 PM): but i think she went back to russia
maggster979 (6:54:55 PM): o.o
Aiz4awesome33 (6:54:59 PM): WTH

Aiz4awesome33 (6:55:44 PM): GOOD LORD MAGGIE.

camping

On Friday, we left and we got back today. My mom NEVER tells us when we're going to go camping. All of a sudden she says that we have to start packing -____-. I hate that. She told us that we were gonna go camping about 2 hrs. before we left. So, we packed up the RV and headed north. Btw, the picture isn't our RV; it's just one that looks kind like ours.

She didn't know where we were going to stay, but she just knew we were going north. We decided to stay in a campsite at Petaluma. RV camping is way different than tent camping. When you're in an RV, you have a bed, a fridge, a tv; it's basically like having your own house. When you camp in a tent, you have your sleeping bag and whatever else you
decided to bring. The campsites you stay at when you're in an RV are different too. We stayed at one that had a pool, hot tub, and petting zoo. Just like staying at a motel or something.

While we were at the campsite in Petaluma, my dad and brother went swimming and my sister and I walked around and went to see the animals at the petting zoo. There were goats, chickens, and sheep. I kind of want a goat now because the babies are so cute XD But anyways, we walked over to the pool after that. In the hot tub, there were these guys who spoke Swedish or something. I couldn't really tell. I wish I could speak another language..

We left the next morning and went up to the redwood trees. We arrived at this park and decided to go on a hike. Everyone was complaining though. At least it was only a mile there and back :P My mom kept wanting to get group p
ictures of us. I hate it when she wants to do that when we're in grumpy moods. She takes pictures of the fake smiles that everyone has to put on.

Finally, we got back to the RV and just sat outside for a while. I made some friendship bracelets. I made about 3 or 4 bracelets on that trip because I was soo bored. My dad, brother, sister and I went to go on another hike. It was 3.5 miles up, but we didn't go the whole way because it was getting dark and everyone w
as whining. We probably went about halfway. The trail was pretty steep, but it was covered with trees so it wasn't that hot because we were in the shade. I picked up the pace on the way back down. Just wanting to get it over with and get away from my annoying brother and sister. (My other sister went to Sacramento for like a week to hang out w/ her friend :) So it was a little bit quieter) I was the first one back to the RV and I just sat outside for a while making more frienship bracelets and chugging down water. My mom made dinner and then we made smores. I only ate one, but instead of using regular chocolate; I used a reese's peanut butter cup :D

We had to leave because we couldn't stay there overnight. We ended up staying at some trailer park called Mirabel. That place was loud. The whole night these drunk kids were up and drinking and being noisy. I woke up twice because of them...

At least I'm home now, but we're probably going to go camping in 2 more weeks...

Oh yeah, I promised people a sleepover in the RV. When do you want it?

yesterday's yesterday

Yesterday's yesterday's yesterday, I went to Allyson Wong's house after Physics. When I got there, we started making the rice. There were some special ingredients in that sushi rice... one of them was love :P But anyways, we made the rice and the rice came out all mushy and squishy. 5 cups of water for 4 cups of water...that's why. I just listened to Allyson and Allyson listened to her mom. And no one disobeys her mom; she can be scary when she wants to, haha. Jennifer Ruperto came later and the sushi still wasn't done! >:O Allyson cut up the ingredients for the sushi, but she didn't have a sushi mat. So her mom went to go pick one up from the store. In the meantime, we made one with plastic wrap and ate that roll as a snack. It worked okay I guess. Her mom got back and we made a plate full of sushi. A few minutes later we went to the picnic. We were late and a few people were staring at us. Right when we got there, everyone who was playing football stopped playing. They looked exhausted. Sorry I didn't let you guys use my pool. You're welcome to use it if you tell me a little bit

Yesterday's yesterday, I went to see Harry Potter at Century Theaters in Great Mall. We went with my aunt and uncle too, although we were supposed to go and see it at the IMAX, but the place didn't show it yet. Before we left home, my dad and brother and sisters went to Save Mart to go get some food for the show. Yup, we always sneak it in. It's kinda suspicious when we do because my dad always carries the bag that's filled with food. When we got there it was 6 something and the movie started at 7:50. I sat in line making friendship bracelets with Harry Potter colors :P After a while, this girl came up to me and started asking me how I made it. I told her that there were videos on youtube XD and I also showed her how to do a line and the bracelets that I had on my wrist. My aunt and uncle came later and then we went into the theater.

The movie started and as expected, everyone started clapping. I thought the movie was pretty good, but if you read the book, then it was different. I only read up to chapter 15... and already there were changes from book to film. At one part I jumped out of my seat a little because something all of a sudden popped out at everyone. My dad was like, "You knew that was coming." I hate it when things just pop out at you. That's why horror movies are not for me..

After the movie, I went home and then came home and read harry potter and got up to chapter 15 XD

Yesterday I went to Physics as usual and today was the last day that I had to wake up at 6:30! YES! No more morning labs :D I went to Kathleen Vu's house afterwards to meet my friend, Kristin Elizarde, who came back from the Phillipines. For some reason she got lighter... weird. She told me she passed the AP exam too! Yet, she wasn't as nervous as I was when she was opening her score. We watched, "He's Just Not That Into You" and ate pizza :)

barney stinson language

Yeah so this post will be legen wait for it.... dary!!! If you don't watch How I Met Your Mother, then you probably don't know what I'm talking about.

The How I Met Your Mother marathon was today at Albert Chang's house. I can't get Barney Stinson's (this guy from himym who is a complete player) phrases out of my mind. He has so many:

1. Legendary
"Legen wait for it... and I hope you're not lactose in tolerant...dairy, legendary!!!
2. Awesome
-"In my body where the shame gland should be, there's a second awesome gland."
-"My nose is just overflowing with awesome and I had to get some of it out."
3. His nicknames...
- Little Barnacle
- Swarley
- Barnana
- Barnito Supreme
- Barnster

4. True Story

One of my favorite videos of Barney and I had to leave early at the marathon so I missed it DX:
